About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. This is a part-time role focused on gaining professional experience while contributing to patient care, inventory management, and pharmacy operations. You will help deliver our core values and demonstrate authentic care for our patients.
What you'll do#
- Ensure patient safety and maintain regulatory compliance.
- Manage pharmacy workflow, excluding final prescription verification.
- Support patient care programs and quality assurance initiatives.
- Provide customer service and assist with inventory management.
- Lead with empathy and compassion for patients and colleagues.
- Collaborate with the team to achieve better patient outcomes.
- Provide patient immunizations once you meet state regulations.
- Foster a team culture that promotes energy and pride.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity, reaching, and stooping.
- Visual acuity for tasks such as reading and visual inspection.
