About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the daily operations of a retail pharmacy. This role focuses on delivering care to patients while maintaining a safe and effective environment. You will gain professional experience by participating in pharmacy practice, managing workflows, and adopting patient care programs.
What you'll do#
- Ensure patient safety and follow regulatory requirements.
- Manage pharmacy inventory and daily workflow tasks.
- Adopt and manage various patient care programs.
- Lead with empathy and compassion when interacting with patients and caregivers.
- Collaborate with your team to deliver positive health outcomes.
- Facilitate a team culture built on energy and care.
- Complete required training and strive to provide immunizations once state regulations allow.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and precision.
- Ability to stoop, bend, and reach overhead as needed to move items.
- Close visual acuity for reading and computer work.
