About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your classroom learning to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a training roadmap, gaining experience with pharmacy operations and store leadership. This role prepares you for future responsibilities as a pharmacist while you support our pharmacy teams in delivering quality care.
What you'll do#
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap focused on Key Learning Experiences.
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and efficiently.
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at workstations like production, pick-up, and drop-off to ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care during interactions.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding pharmacy operations and patient privacy.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- Regular and predictable attendance, with availability for nights and weekends.
- Ability to concentrate on tasks over extended periods.
