About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the daily operations of our retail pharmacy. You play a part in delivering patient care, maintaining a safe work environment, and managing pharmacy workflows. This role offers an opportunity to gain professional experience while contributing to our goal of improving health care access and quality.
What you'll do#
- Ensure a safe and effective pharmacy environment through regulatory compliance and quality assurance.
- Manage inventory and pharmacy workflows to support daily operations.
- Provide exceptional customer service and deliver patient care.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs to keep customers and patients healthy.
- Lead with empathy and collaborate with your team to deliver positive outcomes.
- Provide patient immunizations once you meet state regulations.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring and enthusiasm.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform fine motor tasks like typing or scanning.
- Ability to stoop, bend, and reach overhead to move items.
- Close visual acuity for reading and transcribing information.
- Completion of all required training within state guidelines.
