About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the pharmacy team. You will focus on patient care, safety, and the effective operation of the retail pharmacy. This role involves direct patient interaction and requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of service and regulatory compliance.
What you'll do#
- Ensure a safe and effective pharmacy environment through quality assurance and workflow management.
- Assist with inventory management and pharmacy professional practice.
- Deliver authentic care to patients and customers.
- Lead with heart by showing empathy to patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Support patient care programs and work toward providing patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver positive health outcomes and promote a culture of energy and pride.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, reach overhead, stoop, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including availability for nights and weekends.
