About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the daily operations of our retail pharmacy. You will focus on patient care, safety, and operational efficiency while gaining professional experience in a clinical setting.
What you'll do#
- Deliver patient care programs and provide immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Maintain a safe and effective work environment through quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and inventory management.
- Handle workflow management and pharmacy professional practice tasks, excluding final prescription verification.
- Display empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and team members.
- Collaborate with your team to improve patient outcomes and foster a positive, caring culture.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate instructions clearly to patients and colleagues.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to maintain regular, predictable attendance including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, reach overhead, and stoop or bend to move items.
- Precision and finger dexterity for typing, scanning, and handling small items.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Immunization eligibility and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite are preferred.
