About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your didactic learning from pharmacy school into real-world practice. You will complete a comprehensive training roadmap designed to prepare you for a future role as a Pharmacist. This position involves working under the direction of a preceptor to gain experience in pharmacy operations while supporting the team in delivering care to our patients.
What you'll do#
- Support pharmacy teams in daily operations to ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately.
- Follow company SOPs and workflow procedures at all workstations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Provide caring service to patients and assist with medical questions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Take telephonic prescriptions and communicate with prescribers to clarify information.
- Complete basic inventory activities, such as cycle counts and managing medication deliveries.
- Deliver patient health care services, including administering immunizations once certified, educating patients on vaccines, and monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to pharmacy team members as you gain experience.
- Collect and review patient information to ensure accurate care.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Possession of, or the process of obtaining, a valid intern or technician license.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Strong attention to detail to confirm prescription information and label accuracy.
- Mathematical reasoning skills to accurately calculate medication dosages and supplies.
- Physical ability to remain mobile for extended periods, reach, stoop, and lift up to 20 lbs.

- Compensation: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
