About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a preceptor to gain professional experience while supporting our pharmacy team. This role focuses on delivering care to patients and assisting with daily operations in a community pharmacy setting.
What you'll do#
- Manage the prescription filling process and ensure patient safety.
- Provide patient counseling and answer questions for pharmacy and front store customers.
- Coordinate patient care by working with other healthcare professionals.
- Perform health screenings and administer immunizations when appropriate.
- Handle inventory management and adhere to regulatory requirements.
- Motivate your team and identify opportunities to improve pharmacy performance.
- Stay current on new pharmacy initiatives and training developments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a School of Pharmacy.
- An active Pharmacy Intern license in California.
- No pending felony charges or convictions related to controlled substances.
- You must not be on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
Location & details#
- This position is located in Pasadena, California.
- The work is on-site and part-time.
