About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice while preparing for future roles as a pharmacist. Under the direction of a preceptor, you will complete a training roadmap that includes Key Learning Experiences, store operations, and district-level activities. This role focuses on building clinical and technical skills while ensuring the pharmacy team delivers safe and effective patient care.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team with daily operations to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Ensure prescriptions are filled accurately and safely.
- Provide caring service to patients, including fielding medical questions and offering counseling under pharmacist supervision.
- Take telephonic prescriptions and clarify details with prescribers.
- Coach and mentor pharmacy team members while sharing best practices.
- Manage basic inventory tasks such as cycle counts and returns-to-stock.
- Deliver health care services including point-of-care testing and immunizations.
- Educate patients on vaccines and monitor for potential adverse reactions.
- Comply with all company SOPs, federal, state, and local laws.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure as required by state regulations.
- At least 1 year of work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
- Ability to become immunization certified.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Willingness to work at your home store and travel to other locations within the market as needed.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.

- Pay Range: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
