Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. This role focuses on delivering quality care, managing patient care programs, and supporting daily pharmacy operations. You will gain professional experience while contributing to our goal of increasing access and improving health care quality.

What you'll do#

• Provide exceptional care to every patient and display empathy in all interactions.
• Manage and adopt patient care programs to keep customers healthy.
• Facilitate a positive team culture defined by energy and enthusiasm.
• Collaborate with the pharmacy team to deliver outcomes and align with company goals.
• Administer patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
• Handle inventory, workflow management, and quality assurance tasks.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Physical ability to remain upright for long periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and precision control.
• Close visual acuity for reading, typing, and visual inspection.
• Completion of all required training within state guidelines.
• Immunization eligibility and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite are preferred.

Location & details#

• Location: Asheboro, North Carolina.
• This is a part-time, on-site position.
• The pay range for this role is $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
