About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to provide care to patients. You will contribute to a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment while supporting patient health through various care programs. This role involves modeling company values and ensuring patients receive quality service.
What you'll do#
- Deliver care to patients and manage patient care programs.
- Lead with empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Collaborate with the team to improve outcomes and align others with the company health purpose.
- Foster a team culture that promotes energy and enthusiasm.
- Provide patient immunizations once you meet state regulations.
- Assist with pharmacy professional practice, inventory management, and workflow.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- 0 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for long periods, reach overhead, bend, stoop, and lift up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and close visual acuity.
- Completion of all training required by state guidelines.
- Immunization eligibility and proficiency in Microsoft Office are preferred.
