About the role#
As a pharmacy intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. You will play a key role in delivering patient care, modeling company values, and supporting the pharmacy team. This position involves managing daily operations and patient care programs to help customers maintain their health.
What you'll do#
- Support patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, and regulatory compliance.
- Manage pharmacy workflow, inventory, and quality assurance tasks.
- Deliver customer service and assist in the adoption of patient care programs.
- Lead with empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and team members.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver positive health outcomes.
- Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Foster a team culture centered on energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, reach overhead, and lift up to 20 lbs.
- Manual dexterity for tasks like typing, pinching, and scanning.
- Visual acuity for transcribing, reading, and visual inspection.
