About the role#
As a pharmacy intern at CVS Health, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the daily operations of a retail pharmacy. You will assist in delivering patient care, maintaining safety standards, and managing pharmacy workflow. This role is designed to provide professional growth while you contribute to our pharmacy team.
What you'll do#
- Ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment.
- Provide exceptional care to patients and customers.
- Manage pharmacy inventory and daily workflow.
- Maintain adherence to professional practice and regulatory requirements.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs.
- Lead with empathy and compassion while collaborating with your team.
- Facilitate a positive team culture.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or acceptance to an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Ability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and reaching.
