Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a pharmacy intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. This role focuses on delivering quality care to patients and supporting the pharmacy team in daily operations. You will gain professional experience while contributing to patient health through direct service and program management.

• Manage pharmacy workflows, inventory, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain high standards for patient safety and quality assurance.
• Provide customer service and support the adoption of patient care programs.
• Display empathy and compassion when interacting with patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
• Facilitate a team culture focused on energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
• Administer patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve better health outcomes.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and immunization eligibility are preferred.

Location & details#

• Location: Raleigh, North Carolina.
• This is a part-time, on-site position.
• Compensation is $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
• This role is eligible for benefits depending on hours worked.
