About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. This role focuses on delivering care to patients while building professional skills in pharmacy practice. You will assist with daily operations, patient care programs, and team collaboration to help customers manage their health.
What you'll do#
- Ensure patient safety and follow regulatory requirements.
- Manage inventory and pharmacy workflow.
- Provide customer service and deliver care with empathy.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs.
- Facilitate a positive team culture.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Collaborate with the team to improve health outcomes.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity, reaching, and stooping.
- Close visual acuity for reading and computer work.
- Immunization eligibility.
