About the role#
As a pharmacy intern, you work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You play a part in the pharmacy team by delivering care, modeling company values, and supporting patients. This role focuses on maintaining a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment while you gain professional experience.
What you'll do#
- Ensure a safe and effective pharmacy environment.
- Deliver care to each patient and display empathy and compassion.
- Manage patient care programs and support quality assurance, inventory, and workflow.
- Handle professional practice tasks and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes energy and pride.
- Provide patient immunizations once you meet state regulations.
- Collaborate with the team to find new ways to grow and deliver better outcomes.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs, reach overhead, and stoop or bend to move items.
- Ability to remain upright and mobile for extended periods.
- Visual acuity to read, transcribe, and perform detailed tasks.
- Completion of all required training within state guidelines.
