About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. This role focuses on delivering care to patients, managing pharmacy operations, and contributing to a team culture that values empathy and collaboration. You will gain professional experience while helping patients manage their health.
What you'll do#
- Ensure patient safety and follow pharmacy professional practices.
- Manage inventory, workflow, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide customer service and assist in the adoption of patient care programs.
- Lead with heart by showing compassion to patients, caregivers, and team members.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve outcomes and promote a positive team environment.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations and eligibility requirements are met.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for long periods, lift up to 20 lbs, reach overhead, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and visual acuity.
- Completion of all required training within state guidelines.
