About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a training roadmap, gaining experience in store, district, and regional operations. This role focuses on supporting pharmacy teams to deliver safe and accurate care while developing your clinical and professional skills.
What you'll do#
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at workstations including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment and follow all company policies.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by demonstrating empathy and providing compassionate service.
- Offer to counsel patients, field medical questions, and take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers.
- Provide coaching and training to pharmacy team members while sharing best practices.
- Complete basic inventory activities such as cycle counts, returns, and putting away deliveries.
- Deliver patient health care services including immunizations and point-of-care testing where permitted.
- Educate patients on vaccines and monitor for or respond to adverse reactions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure as required by the state.
- At least 1 year of work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
- Ability to become immunization certified.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Flexibility to work in your home store and travel to other locations within the market as needed.

- Pay range: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
