About the role#
As a pharmacy intern, you will work as part of the pharmacy team under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will help ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment while delivering care to patients. This role involves managing patient care programs and supporting pharmacy operations, including inventory and workflow management.
What you'll do#
- Deliver care to each patient with empathy and compassion.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs to support patient health.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations allow.
- Lead by example to promote a team culture of energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve outcomes and align with the company purpose.
- Complete tasks as directed by your supervisor or manager.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for long periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and reaching.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and immunization eligibility are preferred.
