About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap. This role prepares you for future responsibilities as a Pharmacist by providing hands-on experience with store, district, and regional operations. You will contribute to a safe and inclusive team environment while ensuring pharmacy operations run smoothly.
What you'll do#
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap through Key Learning Experiences and activities.
- Assist the pharmacy team with accurate and safe prescription fulfillment at production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off workstations.
- Demonstrate empathy and care in patient interactions, including fielding medical questions and offering counseling under pharmacist supervision.
- Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and clarify medication details as permitted by state regulation.
- Provide in-the-moment coaching and mentoring to team members.
- Perform basic inventory tasks such as putting away deliveries, cycle counts, and returns-to-stock.
- Deliver patient health care services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing, where allowable by law.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- At least 1 year of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settings.
- Ability to become immunization certified.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Flexibility to work in your home store and travel to other locations within the market.

- Compensation: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
