About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support our retail pharmacy operations. You play a role in delivering care to patients while gaining professional experience. This is a part-time, on-site position based in Springfield, Massachusetts.
What you'll do#
- Ensure a safe and effective pharmacy environment through patient safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
- Manage pharmacy workflow and inventory.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and care to every patient.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs.
- Lead with empathy and compassion while collaborating with your team.
- Facilitate a positive team culture.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity, reaching, and stooping.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
