About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the pharmacy team. You will focus on delivering care to patients while maintaining safety and professional standards in a retail environment. This role is part-time and requires regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
What you'll do#
- Ensure a safe and effective pharmacy environment and follow all regulatory requirements.
- Deliver care to patients and manage quality assurance, inventory, and workflow.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs to support customer health.
- Lead with empathy and compassion while collaborating with your team.
- Facilitate a positive team culture.
- Provide patient immunizations once you meet state regulations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity, reaching, and stooping.
- Ability to communicate orally with customers and colleagues.
- Immunization eligibility.
