About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist in a retail setting. You will contribute to a safe pharmacy environment while delivering care to patients. This role focuses on patient safety, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance. You will help manage patient care programs and support the pharmacy team.
What you'll do#
- Deliver care to patients and assist with managing patient care programs.
- Model empathy and compassion for patients, customers, and colleagues.
- Foster a team culture that encourages energy and pride.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Collaborate with the team to improve health outcomes.
- Complete all required training programs.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
- Immunization eligibility.
