About the role#
As a pharmacy intern, you work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. You are responsible for delivering care to patients while maintaining high standards of practice and regulatory compliance. This role involves active participation in pharmacy workflow, inventory management, and the adoption of patient care programs.
What you'll do#
- Support patient safety and quality assurance initiatives.
- Manage pharmacy workflow and inventory tasks.
- Deliver care with empathy and compassion to patients and caregivers.
- Collaborate with your team to improve patient outcomes.
- Foster a positive team culture.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring precision control and finger dexterity.
- Availability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- Immunization eligibility.
