About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the daily operations of our retail pharmacy. You will gain professional experience by assisting with patient care programs and helping maintain a safe, effective work environment. This is a part-time, on-site position based in Lamesa, Texas.
What you'll do#
- Manage patient care programs to support customer health.
- Display empathy and compassion when interacting with patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Foster a team culture centered on energy and enthusiasm.
- Provide patient immunizations once you meet state requirements.
- Handle inventory tasks including lifting, scanning, and bagging items.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to deliver consistent care and meet operational goals.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Between 0 and 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Availability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, reach, stoop, and lift up to 20 lbs.
