About the role#
The Medicare Strategy & Operations Office supports strategic planning, business operations, and executive communications for the Medicare Stars organization. This 11-week internship runs from May 24, 2027, to August 4, 2027. You will work 40 hours per week at a rate of $26 per hour. This role provides exposure to executive leadership, healthcare operations, and AI-enabled business solutions. Interns participate in professional development workshops, networking, and community service activities.
What you'll do#
- Research and analyze initiatives to create summaries for leadership.
- Build presentations, reports, and performance updates for senior leaders.
- Identify trends in business data to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate across departments to coordinate deliverables and drive organizational goals.
- Work on projects related to process improvement, employee engagement, and innovation.
- Develop dashboards and visualizations to track business performance.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree with an anticipated graduation date between September 2027 and June 2028.
- Relevant majors include Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Finance, Economics, Communications, Management, Political Science, Data Analytics, or Information Systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Teams.
- Experience with tools like Microsoft Copilot, Claude, SharePoint, or Power BI.
- Demonstrated leadership in student organizations, sports, or work projects.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate within teams.
- Interest in a full-time position with the company after graduation.
Location & details#
- This is a hybrid position based in Hartford, Connecticut.
- You will work from the office three days per week, typically Tuesday through Thursday, with two days of remote work.
- This is a full-time internship. Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
