About the role#
This position is designed for foreign-trained pharmacists to complete their required US internship hours. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to apply your education to real-world pharmacy practice. The program requires you to complete your internship within 18 months and obtain pharmacist licensure in your state within 120 days of finishing your required hours.
What you'll do#
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care.
- Offer to counsel and field medical questions under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and clarify medication details.
- Provide coaching, training, and mentoring to pharmacy team members.
- Complete basic inventory activities such as cycle counts and medication deliveries.
- Deliver patient health care services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing, where permitted by law.
- Support immunization services by educating patients, reviewing health information, and monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical principles to ensure patient safety and privacy.
What you'll need#
- Foreign graduate degree from a non-US accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- FPGEC certification.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settings.
- Ability to become immunization certified.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Ability to work in your home store and travel to other locations across the market as needed.

- Employment: Full-time, on-site.
- Schedule: Requires regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
