About the role#
As a US Non-Accredited Foreign Graduate, you will complete your required US Internship hours to transition into a Pharmacist role. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to develop your clinical and technical skills. This program requires completion of your internship within 18 months and obtaining pharmacist licensure in Indiana within 120 days of finishing your intern hours. You will participate in a mixed modality learning plan designed to build your pharmacy practice experience and leadership abilities.
What you'll do#
- Follow company SOPs and pharmacy workflow procedures including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care.
- Offer to counsel, field medical questions, and take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers.
- Provide in-the-moment coaching and mentoring to pharmacy team members.
- Complete basic inventory activities like putting away deliveries, cycle counts, and returns.
- Deliver patient health care services, such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, where allowed by law.
- Educate patients on vaccines, monitor for adverse reactions, and document patient information.
- Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, including traveling to other locations in the market.
What you'll need#
- Graduation from a non-US accredited college or school of pharmacy and FPGEC certification.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Ability to maintain regular, predictable attendance including nights and weekends.
- Strong communication skills, active listening, and the ability to use math to solve pharmacy problems.
- Ability to concentrate on tasks, pivot quickly between duties, and ensure label accuracy.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform repetitive movements like reaching, stooping, and typing.
- Preferred: 1+ years of experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service, immunization certification, and proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
