About the role#
This position is for foreign-trained pharmacy graduates looking to complete their required US internship hours. You will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to gain the clinical and operational experience needed for US licensure. The program is designed to be completed within 18 months, with the goal of transitioning into a pharmacist role after passing all required exams.
What you'll do#
- Ensure a safe, efficient pharmacy environment by managing workflow, inventory, and regulatory compliance.
- Process prescriptions, including translating SIG codes, selecting products, counting, labeling, and resolving third-party rejections.
- Deliver health care services such as point-of-care testing and immunizations where permitted by state regulation.
- Provide patient counseling under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Support the pharmacy manager in developing support staff and identifying business opportunities to improve performance.
- Greet customers, assist with questions, and maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards.
- Participate in store operational meetings and maintain a clean, organized department.
What you'll need#
- A Doctorate (PharmD) or equivalent degree from a non-US accredited school of pharmacy.
- Successful completion of the FPGEE and TOEFL exams.
- An active Pharmacy Intern license in the state where the position is located.
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong communication, active listening, and emotional intelligence skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally and perform reaching or overhead lifting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
- Commitment to obtaining pharmacist licensure in the state of practice within 120 days of completing intern hours.

- Location: Rahway, New Jersey.
- This is a full-time, on-site role.
- Employment is contingent upon meeting all state and federal licensure requirements within the specified timeframes.
