About the role#
As a US Non-Accredited Foreign Graduate, you will complete your required US internship hours to prepare for a Pharmacist role. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to apply your clinical knowledge in a real-world pharmacy setting. This program requires the completion of internship hours within 18 months, with the goal of obtaining Pharmacist licensure within 120 days of finishing those hours.
What you'll do#
- Follow company SOPs and pharmacy workflow procedures at all workstations to ensure safe, accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and care during interactions at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone.
- Field medical questions, solicit patient medical history, and offer to counsel under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and call them to clarify information or facilitate changes.
- Provide coaching, training, and mentoring to pharmacy team members.
- Complete basic inventory activities such as cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, and putting away medication deliveries.
- Deliver health care services including point-of-care testing and immunizations.
- Obtain Technician Immunizer status to prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients on their importance, and monitor for adverse reactions.
What you'll need#
- Graduation from a non-US accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- FPGEC certification.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Ability to obtain Pharmacist licensure in Colorado within 120 days of completing US intern hours.
- Ability to perform essential physical functions, including remaining upright for extended periods, reaching, stooping, and lifting up to 20 lbs.
