About the role#
As a Non-US Accredited Foreign Graduate, you will complete your required US Internship hours to build upon your existing Pharmacist education. You will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to develop your knowledge and skills in a retail pharmacy setting. This role requires the successful completion of all internship hours within 18 months. You must also be prepared to complete all required Pharmacist licensure exams and processes within 120 days of finishing your internship hours.
What you'll do#
- Ensure a safe and effective pharmacy environment while delivering patient care.
- Process prescriptions, including translating SIG codes, labeling, and managing product selection.
- Resolve third party rejections and complete manual claim forms.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory and manage workflow.
- Greet customers, assist with questions, and perform register transactions.
- Counsel patients under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Support the Pharmacy manager in motivating and developing support staff.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs.
- Immunize patients once state regulations are met.
What you'll need#
- Doctorate (PharmD) or equivalent Pharmacist degree from a Non-US accredited school of pharmacy.
- Successful completion of FPGEE and TOEFL.
- Active Pharmacy Intern license in the state where the district is located.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to lift and exert up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally.
- Ability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
- Eligibility to immunize is preferred.
