About the role#
This position is designed for foreign-trained pharmacists to complete their required US internship hours. You will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to gain the knowledge and skills necessary for US licensure. This role requires the completion of internship hours within 18 months and obtaining pharmacist licensure within 120 days of finishing those hours.
What you'll do#
- Ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment while delivering exceptional patient care.
- Process prescriptions, including the translation of SIG codes and resolving third-party rejections.
- Counsel patients under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Manage inventory according to company policies and maintain workflow standards.
- Lead with empathy and support the pharmacy manager in developing staff and driving business growth.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes energy and caring.
- Perform immunizations once state regulations are met.
What you'll need#
- A pharmacy degree from a non-US accredited school of pharmacy.
- Successful completion of the FPGEE and TOEFL exams.
- An active pharmacy intern license in the state where the district is located.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to lift and exert up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally.
- Eligibility to immunize.
