About the role#
This is a full-time, on-site internship for foreign pharmacy graduates seeking to complete their required US internship hours. You will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to gain the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary for US pharmacist licensure. This program requires completion of all internship hours within 18 months and obtaining pharmacist licensure within 120 days of finishing those hours.
What you'll do#
- Complete required US internship hours through a mixed modality learning plan.
- Ensure patient safety and maintain compliance with HIPAA, federal, and state regulations.
- Process prescriptions, resolve third-party rejections, and manage pharmacy inventory.
- Counsel patients under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist and communicate with other healthcare professionals.
- Support the pharmacy manager by coordinating staff training and identifying business opportunities to improve store performance.
- Greet customers, perform register transactions, and assist with pharmacy and front-store inquiries.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs to support community health.
What you'll need#
- A degree from a non-US accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Successful completion of the FPGEE and TOEFL exams.
- An active pharmacy intern license in the state where the district is located.
- Strong communication, active listening, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to lift and exert up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally.
- Proficiency in digital tools and time management.
