About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for foreign pharmacy graduates looking to complete their required US internship hours. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to apply your clinical training in a real-world setting. The program requires you to finish your internship within 18 months and obtain pharmacist licensure in the state within 120 days of completing your required hours.
What you'll do#
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at every workstation, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and contact them to clarify orders or facilitate medication changes.
- Perform inventory tasks such as cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, and processing medication deliveries.
- Support immunization services, including vaccine preparation and administration, after obtaining necessary Technician Immunizer status and training.
- Assist the pharmacy team in maintaining safe operations and providing caring service to patients.
What you'll need#
- Graduation from a non-US accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- FPGEC certification.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Commitment to obtaining pharmacist licensure within 120 days of completing required US internship hours.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, reach, bend, and lift up to 20 lbs.
