About the role#
As a Non-US Accredited Foreign Graduate, you will complete your required US internship hours to build upon your existing pharmacy education. This role is designed to help you develop the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to pass required pharmacist licensure exams. You will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment while delivering care to patients.
What you'll do#
- Process prescriptions, including translating SIG codes, selecting products, and labeling.
- Resolve third-party rejections and complete manual claim forms.
- Perform register transactions, including cash, check, and charge.
- Support the supervising pharmacist in dispensing drugs and monitoring compliance.
- Coordinate the training and development of pharmacy support staff.
- Greet customers and assist with questions or concerns in-store and at the drive-thru.
- Maintain inventory management policies and procedures.
What you'll need#
- Doctorate (PharmD) or equivalent pharmacist degree from a non-US accredited school of pharmacy.
- Active pharmacy intern license in the state where the district is located.
- Successful completion of the FPGEE and TOEFL.
- Ability to lift and exert up to 20 lbs of force occasionally.
- Commitment to complete internship hours within 18 months and obtain pharmacist licensure within 120 days of completing hours.
