About the role#
This internship provides a structured path for foreign-trained pharmacy graduates to complete their required US internship hours. You will work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist to apply your education to real-world practice. The goal of this program is to prepare you for a pharmacist role by developing your clinical knowledge, business acumen, and leadership skills. You must complete your internship within 18 months and obtain state pharmacist licensure within 120 days of finishing your hours.
What you'll do#
- Follow company SOPs and pharmacy workflow procedures at all workstations to ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Offer to counsel patients and field medical questions under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Perform inventory activities, including putting away medication deliveries and conducting cycle counts.
- Support immunization services by obtaining technician immunizer status, educating patients, and assisting with documentation.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive environment while providing caring service to patients over the phone, at the register, or via drive-thru.
What you'll need#
- Graduation from a non-US accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- FPGEC certification.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Ability to meet attendance requirements, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and remain mobile for extended periods.
