About the role#
As a Non-US Accredited Foreign Graduate, you will complete your required US internship hours to build upon your pharmacist education. Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to pass required pharmacist licensure exams. You are expected to complete your internship within 18 months and obtain state licensure within 120 days of finishing your hours.
What you'll do#
- Deliver exceptional patient care and manage patient care programs.
- Ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment by following regulatory requirements, quality assurance, and workflow management standards.
- Process prescriptions, including translating SIG codes, selecting products, and resolving third-party rejections.
- Counsel patients under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Support the pharmacy manager in motivating and developing pharmacy support staff.
- Identify business opportunities to drive growth and improve pharmacy performance.
- Greet customers, assist with questions, and perform register transactions.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory and ensure compliance with HIPAA confidentiality standards.
- Coordinate training for pharmacy support staff and participate in store operational meetings.
What you'll need#
- Doctorate (PharmD) or equivalent degree from a non-US accredited school of pharmacy.
- Successful completion of the FPGEE and TOEFL exams.
- Active pharmacy intern license in the state where the district is located.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong communication, presentation, and active listening skills.
- Proficiency in time management, emotional intelligence, and conflict resolution.
- Ability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to lift and exert up to 20 lbs of force occasionally and up to 10 lbs frequently.
- Digital literacy with preference for Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
