About the role#
As an International Pharmacy Intern, you will complete your required US internship hours while preparing for a full Pharmacist role. This program is designed for foreign pharmacy graduates to apply their education to real-world practice under the guidance of a preceptor. You will follow a mixed modality learning plan and are expected to finish your internship within 18 months. You must also pass all required Pharmacist licensure exams within 120 days of completing your internship hours.
What you'll do#
- Support pharmacy teams by following company SOPs and workflow procedures to ensure safe, accurate, and prompt prescription fulfillment.
- Participate in patient care scenarios and provide empathetic service at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone.
- Offer to counsel patients, field medical questions, and take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers.
- Deliver health care services including immunizations and point-of-care testing, while monitoring for and responding to adverse vaccine reactions.
- Build business acumen to improve pharmacy performance and develop leadership skills to coach and mentor team members.
- Perform basic inventory tasks like putting away deliveries, cycle counts, and managing returns.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ethical principles.
What you'll need#
- Graduation from a non-US accredited college or school of pharmacy and FPGEC certification.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Ability to pivot quickly between tasks and maintain focus on prescription accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- At least 1 year of work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settings.
- Ability to become immunization certified and work in your home store as well as other locations across the market.

- This is a full-time, on-site position based in Lone Tree, Colorado.
- The role operates on a rolling basis.
