About the role#
As a Non-US Accredited Foreign Graduate, you will complete your required US internship hours to develop the knowledge and skills needed for pharmacist licensure. You will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to provide patient care and manage pharmacy operations. This program requires you to complete your internship within 18 months and obtain pharmacist licensure within 120 days of finishing your required hours.
What you'll do#
- Ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment while maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Process prescriptions, resolve third-party rejections, and handle prescription pick-up procedures.
- Counsel patients under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Support the pharmacy manager in motivating and developing pharmacy support staff.
- Identify business opportunities to improve pharmacy performance and growth.
- Greet customers, perform register transactions, and assist with pharmacy and front store needs.
- Maintain inventory levels by following company policies.
- Participate in store operational meetings and complete all required training programs.
- Communicate with healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care.
What you'll need#
- Doctorate (PharmD) or equivalent pharmacist degree from a non-US accredited school of pharmacy.
- Active pharmacy intern license in the state where the district is located.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Strong communication, presentation, and active listening skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Eligibility to immunize.
- Ability to lift and exert up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally.
- High School Diploma or GED.
