About the role#
This internship program is designed for foreign pharmacy graduates to complete their required US internship hours. You will apply your academic training to real-world practice while preparing for a permanent Pharmacist role. The program requires you to finish your internship within 18 months and obtain state Pharmacist licensure within 120 days of completing your hours.
What you'll do#
- Complete required US internship hours under the direction of a preceptor.
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at all workstations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Offer to counsel patients and field medical questions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and clarify medication details.
- Complete basic inventory tasks such as cycle counts, returns-to-stock, and processing deliveries.
- Provide coaching and training to pharmacy team members to support team performance.
- Deliver patient care services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing, where permitted by law.
- Educate patients on vaccines and monitor for potential adverse reactions.
What you'll need#
- Graduation from a non-US accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- FPGEC certification.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Ability to obtain Pharmacist licensure in the state within 120 days of finishing internship hours.
- 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service.
- Ability to become immunization certified.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.

- This is a full-time, on-site position based in New York.
- The program operates on a rolling basis.
