About the role#
This is a full-time, on-site internship for foreign-trained pharmacy graduates. You will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to complete your required US internship hours. The program is designed to build upon your existing pharmacy education, helping you develop the skills necessary to pass required licensure exams. You are expected to complete all internship requirements within 18 months and obtain your pharmacist license within 120 days of finishing your hours.
What you'll do#
- Provide patient care and counsel patients under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Support the pharmacy manager in motivating and developing staff.
- Process prescriptions, including translating SIG codes, labeling, and managing product selection.
- Resolve third-party rejections and handle manual claim forms.
- Maintain inventory management policies and ensure the pharmacy remains organized.
- Perform register transactions and assist customers at the counter and drive-thru.
- Deliver additional health care services as permitted by state regulation.
- Participate in store operational meetings and facilitate a positive team culture.
What you'll need#
- A Doctorate (PharmD) or equivalent degree from a non-US accredited school of pharmacy.
- Successful completion of the FPGEE and TOEFL exams.
- An active Pharmacy Intern license in California.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Strong communication, active listening, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in time management, emotional intelligence, and digital literacy.
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 20 lbs occasionally.
- Ability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
