About the role#
As a Non-US Accredited Foreign Graduate, you will complete your required US Internship hours to build upon your existing Pharmacist education. You will work under the direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to pass required licensure exams. This role requires the successful completion of internship hours within 18 months and obtaining Pharmacist licensure within 120 days of completing those hours.
What you'll do#
- Ensure a safe and effective Retail Pharmacy environment while maintaining HIPAA and company privacy standards.
- Process prescriptions, including the translation of SIG codes, drug selection, and labeling.
- Resolve third-party rejections and manage pharmacy inventory.
- Deliver health care services such as immunizations and testing as permitted by state regulation.
- Offer patient counseling under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.
- Greet customers professionally and perform register transactions.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs to keep patients healthy.
- Support the Pharmacy manager in motivating and developing staff, including coordinating training.
- Identify business opportunities and implement solutions to improve performance.
- Lead with heart by demonstrating empathy for patients, customers, and colleagues.
What you'll need#
- Doctorate (PharmD) or equivalent Pharmacist degree from a Non-US accredited school of pharmacy.
- Active Pharmacy Intern license in the state where the district is located.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong communication, presentation, and active listening skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to lift and exert up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally and up to 10 lbs. frequently.
- Skills in emotional intelligence, time management, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
