About the role#
The Electrical Construction Management Internship offers hands-on field experience with large commercial construction projects. You will work alongside Area Supervisors and Superintendents to learn electrical construction methods, material sequences, and field production processes. This role focuses on coordinating project information to ensure work is completed on time and meets quality standards.
What you'll do#
- Assist in managing and developing construction schedules.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate work groups on the jobsite.
- Interpret drawings and specifications for field crews.
- Participate in jobsite safety reviews and training sessions.
- Monitor project cost control, quality, productivity, and safety.
- Maintain project records, including daily reports, labor timesheets, and material deliveries.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a sophomore or junior in a four-year bachelor's degree program in Electrical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or Operations Management.
- Basic knowledge of commercial building construction activities.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to obtain a Texas Electrical Apprentice License.
- Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to relocate to the Dallas-Fort Worth area for the duration of the program.
