About the role#
Crystal Valley is hiring a Precision Ag Intern for the summer of 2027. This position is based in Mankato, Minnesota, and provides exposure to the daily operations of a cooperative. You will work directly with our Precision Ag Specialists to gain experience in the field and office.
What you'll do#
- Collect and analyze customer data alongside staff.
- Assist with research and development, including planting and monitoring agronomy field trials.
- Create planting and application maps for customer meetings.
- Perform soil and plant tissue sampling, plus nutrient testing.
- Use GIS mapping and financial software to support business operations.
- Obtain your FAA Drone Remote Pilot Certification for crop health scouting.
- Participate in professional development and networking sessions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Precision Ag, Ag Systems Technology, or related agriculture degree program.
- An agricultural or ag retail background.
- Basic equipment operation skills.
- The ability to obtain FAA Drone Remote Pilot Certification.
- A willingness to work long hours, including weekends and holidays.
