About the role#
Cresilon is offering a 15-week onsite biotechnology internship program in Brooklyn, New York. This program runs from January 18, 2027, to April 30, 2027. We offer eight distinct internship tracks across Quality Assurance, Research & Development, Quality Control, Data Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, and Manufacturing. Interns gain exposure to all aspects of the industry through project-based work.
What you'll do#
Depending on your assigned track, your responsibilities may include:
- Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain the Quality Management System, implement OSHA requirements, and participate in inspections.
- Quality Operations & Compliance: Support QMS improvements, improve documentation practices, and streamline review processes.
- Quality Engineering: Assist with product realization, execute software validation, and conduct quality risk assessments.
- R&D Formulation: Conduct research on polymer formulation, perform physical and chemical characterization, and present findings.
- R&D Process Development: Assist with equipment installation, process scale-up, and SOP creation.
- R&D Product Development: Design, test, and improve delivery devices.
- Quality Control: Verify conformance to in-process specifications, implement QC assays, and utilize aseptic techniques.
- Data Engineering & Business Intelligence: Identify data sources, consolidate datasets, create databases, and build analytics dashboards.
- Regulatory Affairs: Support global compliance and market access through regulatory intelligence and strategic research.
- Manufacturing Process Production: Qualify equipment, assist with system implementation, and manage documentation within an eQMS.
What you'll need#
We are seeking candidates currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in fields such as Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or Data Science. Specific requirements include:
- Prior laboratory experience is required for most technical roles.
- Proficiency in SQL, VBA, Power Query, or Python is preferred for Data roles.
- A strong theoretical foundation in regulatory principles is required for the Regulatory Affairs track.
- Graduate-level coursework or industry experience is preferred across various departments.
Location & details#
- Location: Brooklyn, New York
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week)
- Compensation: $30.00 per hour
- Benefits: Includes an unlimited monthly MTA metro-card, free food and snacks, and access to company health care plans for those working 30+ hours per week.
