About the role#
The 2027 Summer Insurance Marketer Internship is a 10-week program designed to provide hands-on experience within the insurance brokerage industry. Interns will work alongside professionals to gain a comprehensive understanding of the marketer role, develop industry skills, and contribute to meaningful projects. This is a full-time, paid position based in Dubuque, Iowa.
What you'll do#
- Execute individual projects focused on enhancing the client experience or improving internal processes.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the responsibilities held by full-time marketers.
- Attend client and insurance carrier meetings to observe negotiations, understand client needs, and participate in discussions.
- Review client policies to identify coverage gaps and recommend solutions.
- Conduct market research on industry trends and competitor activities to help develop and implement marketing strategies.
- Build professional connections through networking and social activities.
