About the role#
Corning is hiring a Process Engineering Intern for a full-time, on-site position in Canton, New York for Summer 2027. You will work alongside experienced engineers and plant teams to support manufacturing performance and process innovation. This role focuses on improving process capability through hands-on projects and data analysis.
What you'll do#
- Support manufacturing and process engineering initiatives to improve yield, quality, throughput, and cost.
- Analyze process data to identify trends and investigate variability.
- Participate in root cause analysis and structured problem-solving to address manufacturing issues.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to support daily operations.
- Prepare technical documentation and share project updates and recommendations with stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Ceramic Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
