About the role#
This summer internship places you within Corning’s Environmental Technologies (CET) segment. You will contribute to the manufacturing of ceramic substrates and filter products designed for emissions control in mobile and stationary applications. This program is designed to build a pipeline for future entry-level roles at the company.
What you'll do#
- Work on meaningful projects related to ceramic manufacturing processes.
- Analyze data to support engineering objectives.
- Prepare and deliver a final project presentation at the end of the term.
- Participate in company-sponsored social events, networking opportunities, and technical talks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate engineering program, specifically Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
- Familiarity with design of experiments (DOE) concepts.
- Interest in pursuing full-time employment with Corning after graduation.
- Understanding of ceramic pastes, ceramic extrusion, or Six Sigma DMAIC principles is preferred.

- Duration: 10 weeks during Summer 2027.
