    About the role#

    This internship focuses on quality principles to improve manufacturing equipment and processes. You will help design, build, and evaluate prototypes while analyzing data to drive product and process improvements. You will own key project objectives and work alongside cross-functional teams to solve problems.

    What you'll do#

    • Support technology development through quality-focused manufacturing improvements.
    • Analyze performance data to draw conclusions and develop recommendations.
    • Present findings and document your work for various levels of the organization.
    • Interface with engineering and operations groups to understand the impact of process changes.
    • Engage with project teams to meet specific requirements and obtain buy-in.

    What you'll need#

    • Current pursuit of a BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
    • Graduation date of December 2027 or later.
    • Familiarity with engineering process fundamentals and scientific methodology.
    • Experience or knowledge of design of experiments (DOE) concepts.
    • Data and statistical analysis skills with an analytical approach to problem-solving.
    • Ability to build relationships and work effectively within a team.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Interest in pursuing a full-time role at Corning after graduation.

    • Location: Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
    • Term: Summer 2027 (10 weeks).
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • This position is full-time and paid.
