About the role#

This co-op position provides production support within a specific process area at Corning Incorporated. You will work in a team environment alongside engineers, technicians, and operators to complete defined projects and support daily operations. This is a paid, full-time opportunity for the Fall 2026 term.

What you'll do#

• Coordinate and direct equipment installations, start-up, repairs, troubleshooting, and process changes.
• Support Preventive Maintenance activities.
• Provide first, second, and third-level troubleshooting for equipment and process issues.
• Deliver technical training for associates.
• Recommend improvements to processes and equipment to drive robustness and standardization.
• Identify chronic issues and recommend corrective actions.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in the 2nd year of a community college program in Mechatronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Systems, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Technical curiosity and capability within your discipline.
• Ability to build relationships, work effectively in teams, and interact with all levels of the organization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A results-oriented mindset.

Location & details#

• Location: Wilmington, North Carolina.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Schedule: Standard hours are 20 to 40 hours per week, typically 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with additional hours or weekends required as needed to meet project objectives.
