About the role#
This co-op position provides production support within a specific process area at Corning Incorporated. You will work in a team environment alongside engineers, technicians, and operators to complete defined projects and support daily operations. This is a paid, full-time opportunity for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate and direct equipment installations, start-up, repairs, troubleshooting, and process changes.
- Support Preventive Maintenance activities.
- Provide first, second, and third-level troubleshooting for equipment and process issues.
- Deliver technical training for associates.
- Recommend improvements to processes and equipment to drive robustness and standardization.
- Identify chronic issues and recommend corrective actions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in the 2nd year of a community college program in Mechatronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Systems, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Technical curiosity and capability within your discipline.
- Ability to build relationships, work effectively in teams, and interact with all levels of the organization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A results-oriented mindset.
Location & details#
- Location: Wilmington, North Carolina.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Standard hours are 20 to 40 hours per week, typically 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with additional hours or weekends required as needed to meet project objectives.
